The Finance Operations Manager will report into the Financial Controller for the Shared Service Centre and will have the following responsibilities:
Manage the AP, AR, Treasury and VAT teams to ensure high quality deliverables are provided to all relevant stakeholders within the agreed timescales.
Overseeing financial control and accounting functions to ensure the highest standard of service, along with helping the Financial Controller drive process and system improvements.
Providing continuous training and development of the team. Lead and motivate the team to high levels of performance
Own the MI reporting to all stakeholders ensuring it succinctly communicates, issues and actions to improve the results.
Developing a strong relationship with the SSC Financial Controller and the Financial Controllers at each of our operating companies.
Oversee Month End Close of all ledgers
Authorisation of Journal Entries as required
Ensure compliance with financial controls
Oversee Year-end Close
Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely completion of all Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury and financial accounting duties
Review & sign off the balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the Finance Team and provide relevant feedback and actions to be taken
Review VAT returns for OpCo's
Maintaining process workflows, procedures and management information for all areas under finance shared service centre ("SSC") responsibility.
Identify areas for process improvement, obtain stakeholder approval and ensure they are implemented in line with the approved plan.
Developing, managing and challenging the finance SSC key performance indicators, and continually review to maximise efficiency of the finance function.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA/ CA). The client is keen to speak to candidates with an audit background, preferably having trained in a Big 4 or Top 10 firm.
