Job Description
  • Achieve and exceed targets in accordance with all company procedures.
  • Territory development and management - fully understand the current and potential customer base. Plan activity to maximise time prospecting and meeting customers.
  • Prospecting - identify sales opportunities and potential customers.
  • Develop strong business relationships with customers and peers across the business.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market conditions, reporting new developments and opportunities or challenges.
  • Monitor achievement of targets and develop countermeasures when needed.
  • Undertake regular training and research to ensure high performance levels are maintained.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Have a proven track record of not only achieving, but exceeding sales targets. Previous experience working in the building materials and construction industry is a requirement. This role will require the successful candidate to be able to conduct site surveys, so being able to access roofs via ladders is a necessity. Covering a national territory, you will be required to travel across the UK when necessary to attend customer appointments. A suitable vehicle is provided by the company. A valid license to drive and clear driving record are required. Ability to prioritise work assignments, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines with a high degree of quality and accuracy. Excellent communication skills (written and oral). PC skills including experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Positive attitude and good judgement, and excellent time management skills. Strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
