About the role

As a Care Assistant working nights, you will be closely supporting our customers to enable them to do everything they need to do to live well. All of our Carers work together as part of a team to provide quality care. Essentially, you put the comfort, happiness and safety of our customers first - and do what you can to support them.

Supporting our customers by helping with night time routines including washing, dressing and personal care.
Providing companionship and making someone’s night that little bit easier.
Keeping clear and accurate computerised records of the care and support provided.
Supporting customers in order to improve health and wellbeing in order to maintain contact with family and friends e.g. skype, internet.
Undertaking practical duties where necessary including cleaning, laundry and helping customers to maintain their social and occupational skills e.g. letter writing, folding clothes and laying tables.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You don’t need experience to do this role we can give you all the training you need right from day one and as soon as you achieve your care certificate we’ll support you further to go on to achieve your Level 2/3 qualifications. What you need most of all is a desire to help, a passion for making a difference and to enjoy making someone’s day that little bit easier. Being a Carer isn’t a job, it’s naturally who you are. Your instinct to care, offer compassion and show kindness is inherent within you. You will love caring for vulnerable people, enjoy the variety everyday brings and appreciate the priceless impact your assistance has on those you help.
