Job Description

As a Pricing Administrator, you will ensure pricing accuracy, offer support on reporting processes and contribute towards the ongoing analytics processes.

It is envisaged that the post holder in conjunction with other team members will be responsible for the efficient and correct placement of all pricing structures. They will maintain and update the system that allows their Department to fulfill these ‘functions. Additionally the post holder will handle queries from customers and co-ordinate with relevant peoples/ departments to ensure a high standard of customer services is maintained. You will also provide feedback to the Management, and be proactive in developing the role that you are undertaking

This is a generic job description and the post holder’s supervisor will allocate the specific duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Following pre-set procedural guidelines to ensure accurate pricing for all depots (Bradford, Leeds, Sheffield and Bolton)
  • Offer support on various reporting processes
  • Carry out data entry to support ongoing pricing analysis
  • Supporting Customer Services when dealing with pricing queries
  • Assisting with the pricing processes involved with acquisitions
  • Ad hoc reporting requests
  • Contributing towards target market product movements and the subsequent pricing requirements
  • To maintain and update pricing on product/supplier/customer records on the Exchequer system.
  • To ensure that comments / complaints / feedback from customers are related to the relevant sections in the company.
  • To liaise with other personnel to effectively and efficiently carry out the above mentioned duties.
  • Maintain stock adjustments between all depots and Distribution Depot
  • To create, maintain and update Shelf Edge Labels for all depots
  • Maintain Customer Discounts for Delivery Service Department and all depots

Other Duties

To provide support for the management and sales representatives, this may take the form of costing, report generation, internal and external circulars or letters, telephoning for either sales or credit control issues, and any such work as assigned to you.

Assist in the general administration of the office, and be prepared to provide back up when staff members are absent.

To frequently maintain the cleanliness of the office. This is mainly the case for your immediate workstation and any computers you use. You are responsible for ensuring this area is always clean and tidy.

To introduce and train other personnel to carry out the work listed here, and to successfully operate the computer in order to provide back up for your absence at holiday times, sickness and also for training purposes.

Miscellaneous

To be proactive in developing strategies and policies that is for the betterment of the company. You should provide feedback and make recommendations for improvements in the system or procedures as such possibilities occur to you.

To ensure company rules on internet and telephone usage are followed strictly.

To ensure punctuality in your hours of work, as well as following company rules on breaks etc.

It is the duty of the post holder not to act in a prejudicial or discriminatory manner towards service users, employees and members of the public.

Ensure all activities do not contravene legislation, for example Health and safety, Weight and Measures and disability and discrimination act.

To undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature, as may be determined by the post holder’s supervisor from time to time.
