Job Description

The role of Nights Care Assistant will involve caring for residents with dementia, mental health problems and end of life care. Your role will require you to be caring and compassionate, main responsibilities will include:

• To supervise and participate in the delivery of care to the residents.
• To lead on the responsibility of residents’ individual care documentation, ensuring a person-centred approach.
• To provide effective leadership for care staff through supervision, support and mentoring in all aspects of care.
• To be responsible for the administration of medication.
• Assisting the Home Manager you will be involved in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through a range of social and recreational activities

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To be considered for the role of Senior Care Assistant, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: Atleast 12 months’ experience as a Senior Care Assistant Excellent interpersonal communication skills Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team Good knowledge and understanding of Dementia Confident in leading and motivating a team of Care Assistants NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
