Job Description

The Corporate Operations Access Team are a corporate function providing a specialized administration service that is comprehensive and confidential in accordance with Departmental, Trust and National standards, policies and procedures around Referral to Treatment (RTT).

The post holder duties will include significant patient pathway validation and will act as a primary source of advice and offer expert guidance to operational colleagues in terms of patient’s pathway queries in accordance with the Trust Elective Care Access Policy and in line with RTT National Standards.

Your key skills in this role will be:

  • Good knowledge of Patient Pathways both RTT and Non RTT
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the RTT Rules and how to apply these rules to pathways.
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Knowledge of other Access Targets such as Post RTT, Diagnostics, Cancelled Operations, Inter provider Transfers, NHS Activity in the Private Sector and re-booking of Cancelled Operations within 28 days.
  • Electronic Referral System (ERS) formally known as Choose and Book experience would be advantageous.
  • Ability to deliver a range of competing workloads & or priorities against multiple deadlines with other departments.
  • Ability to build and expand relationships with a number of key departments i.e. Informatics, Performance, Transformation, Divisions, CPBS, Finance and Departments.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
