Job Description

Do you enjoy working with purchase ledger and in charge of payments? If so, our client is currently seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk for a well-established manufacturing business based in Dudley. You will be maintaining all aspects of the Purchase Ledger and ensuring that all suppliers are paid in a timely and accurate manner. In addition, you will also be required to provide assistance to the Finance Manager, to support controls and procedures.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your duties will include:

  • Matching and processing a high volume of supplier purchase invoices;
  • Ensuring approval from budget holders, coding of invoices and processing all non-stock invoices;
  • Liaise with the purchasing department to process debit notes;
  • Deal with suppliers queries to resolve any issues;
  • Expenses processing and review;
  • Raising supplier BACs via online banking system;
  • Allocate and post manual payments to supplier accounts
  • Checking and reconciling supplier statements including GRNI;
  • Handle internal and external enquires;
  • Providing financial information to the Finance Manager as required;
  • Ensure all purchase administration duties are completed and any other general accounts and administration as and when needed.

You will ideally possess the following:

  • Experience of Purchase Ledger processing is a must with a background of processing high volumes invoices;
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Personable and excellent communicator;
  • Be proactive and have a positive approach to undertaking all tasks;
  • Have the ability to prioritise and manage their workload;
  • Ensure being part of a team;
  • Knowledge and experience of working with a fully integrated ERP system;
  • Enjoy working in a small company environment.

This role will suit an individual who works independently within purchase ledger and prides themselves on speed and accuracy. Standard hours are 37.5 hours however there is flexiblilty.
