Job Description

The Technical Project Accountant will provide key end to end performance and management of audits. It will be your responsibility to identify issues, agree on new actions and create audit reports for the business. You will be a good people person as relationship building is key in order to get the cooperation of your stakeholders.

  • The purpose of the Technical Project Accountant is to provide financial support and expertise for individual multi-million-pound projects, driving a clear understanding of the operational and financial performance (KPIs, trends, revenue, costs and EBITDAR), ensuring that financial control policies are followed where relevant, that a disciplined and consistent approach is taken to the management of costs and within working capital and that all business development and proposals are accompanied by a rigorous and commercially astute financial appraisal. The Technical Project Accountant is also is responsible for all financial planning and monitoring.
  • Facilitate project reviews of operating performance and KPI trends, so support understanding of drivers of performance
  • Partner a range of finance and non-finance stakeholders to analyse and support key revenue streams and cost base
  • Financial modelling of important scenarios, budgets, and forecasts
  • Providing commercial insight into business areas to help shape future decision making

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
ACA qualified with a background in Practice Technically proficient accountant Extensive internal audit experience in a large/complex commercial environment. Experience of building effective relationships with senior management. Ability to communicate effectively in either a verbal and written format creating visual reports or presentations. Ability to plan, organise and prioritise Ability to understand and analyse problems quickly and devise solutions Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with people at all levels of the organisation. Ability to influence and build effective working relationships and interact with senior management. High attention to detail and inquisitive mindset.
