Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will take responsibility for:

  • Production of management information for 3 subsidiaries (1 directly, 2 via team)
  • Preparing consolidated accounts (P&L and B&S)
  • Preparation of detailed monthly contract analysis and management accounts
  • Month and quarter end closing procedures, including the preparation/review of journal entries and related analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
  • Prepare monthly entity income statement and variance analysis
  • Business financial analysis with provision of insightful commentary along with ad-hoc analysis / reporting as required across normal month, quarter and year end processes to support decision making.
  • Prepare key senior management reporting packs for supporting decision making. Monthly and quarterly consolidation of management information packs across business areas and roll up to group level showing performance against budget, forecast & prior year
  • Meeting and presenting month end results to Associate Director/Service Lead
  • Provides regular briefing and support to Finance (AD)
  • Managing and supporting with Preparation of annual accounts reconciliation and support with year-end audit
  • Support Finance Director on various projects of financial modelling:
  • Preparing VAT returns and reconciliation
  • Owning and maintaining the Fixed Asset Register of the subsidiaries
  • Assist Finance Director in the provision of forecasts and budgets for all subsidiaries within the Group
  • Group Balance Sheet Reconciliation
  • Maintain financial control over the companies fixed assets. This includes maintaining the financial asset register.
  • Team management of 2 accounting professionals

As the successful Finance Manager, you will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or Qualified by Experience with a minimum of 5 years experience and will have prior experience managing a team.

You will have experience delivering robust management reporting and analysis and reviewing core monthly postings for accuracy and integrity. You will need to be an engaging people-orientated finance leader who enjoys partnering closely with non-finance personnel to deliver commercial value add.
