Part of the strategic finance division and develop a more structured quality assurance arrangement which will yield sound management information, great appraisal quality and reinforce compliance with appraisal standards.
Driving change and working and influencing senior individuals across the department. This role will provide in depth financial analysis and modelling to support financial decision.
It will synthesise and interpret financial data from a wide range of sources and systems, building detailed financial models to evaluate strategic options, understand financial risk, translate strategic priorities into long term financial plans, develop portfolio approaches to various project portfolios, and work with finance colleagues across the business to model the financial impacts of the financial plans and funding mechanisms.
We are looking for an ambitious and proactive part/qualified finance professional (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or ACA) or working towards, with first class communication skills so that they are confident in advising, challenging and negotiating with senior individuals to produce high quality financial reports within a short turnaround timeframe. Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to question and challenge with experience of Investment Appraisal within a public sector setting would be advantageous.
