Candidates wishing to apply should hold a professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and have extensive financial accounting experience to trial balance stage and in the preparation of management accounts.
The Role:
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will manage all day to day aspects of the finance function to include the processing of all transactions to trial balance stage including the accounts payable and credit control functions.
Key responsibilities include:
Responsible for all transactional activities in the NI trial balance ensuring all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and reviewed on a regular basis and any issues dealt with
Ensure adequate Financial and system controls are in place and regularly reviewed
Review the NI trial balance on a quarterly basis, producing a reconciliation file, associated reserves and working capital schedules
Manage the daily cash flow of the business and produce weekly and quarterly cash flow forecasts for submission to group
Responsible for the maintenance of the company fixed assets registers for the rental fleets, processing additions, disposals, monthly depreciation and submitting reconciliations to group
Preparation of the monthly management accounts including month end journals, analysis, KPI’s and submission to group for consolidation
Manage the Accounts Payable function for NI, ensuring all supplier invoices are processed using the three-way match process, ensuring suppliers are paid to terms, statement reconciliations are complete and invoices are filed and stored correctly
Manage the Credit Control function for NI, ensuring debt is chased on a regular basis, cash is posted to customer accounts, statements are issued, disputes are resolved with the business, a legal process is adhered to and issues are flagged to group and senior Ireland management
Produce the annual budget for the business along with monthly and quarterly profit and loss and balance sheet forecasts
Assist company management to understand their numbers and assist in the presentation of numbers to the group management team
Assist group Finance in the preparation of HMRC submissions including VAT, tax and other government submissions such as national statistics
Assist in the management of the PWC/Wells Fargo audit for the company liaising with auditors, conducting stock counts etc
Play a key role and fully contribute to the functioning of the wider group finance team from a culture, teamwork and process improvement perspective
Lead, motivate and engage a team of finance people to ensure work undertaken is accurate, timely, and efficient along with sustained engagement and motivation
