Job Description

The purpose of the admin support is to support Licensing in carrying out its wide range of administrative duties by providing a quality front end service, in a high-volume environment contributing towards meeting objectives and key targets.
You will be responsible for accurately recording data provided on application forms, managing a large number of tasks with competing deadlines and providing administrative support to a team leader, the licensing team and the traffic commissioners.

Responsibilities

As a Licensing Admin Support, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform administrative and office support activities for Licensing
  • Providing an accurate and effective scanning service, ensuring all documents are scanned to the business system
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained
  • Support DVSA’s compliance, safety and security commitments through adherence to and championing of policy, procedures and development requirements

There may be a need to travel on official business with the need to stay overnight on occasion.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Good verbal and written communication skills. Good numeracy skills. Excellent organizational and administrative skills. Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and agreed standards. Good knowledge of IT systems, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, Lotus Notes and associated keyboard skills. Good analysis and problem solving skills.
