Job Description

I am currently representing a highly dynamic financial services business based in the City of London in their search for a graduate accounts receivable assistant to join their fast growing accounts team.

With full training and support from day one, this role will encompass all aspects of the accounts receivable process, and along with gaining some excellent technical skills, will give the successful candidate some great exposure to dealing with senior stakeholders both externally and within the business. The business are also prepared to study support.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with credit control process
  • Process customer invoices, credit notes and payments within the accounting system for multiple entities in various currencies
  • Resolve invoice queries and proactively ensure customers pay on time
  • Build excellent client relationships, ensuring any issues are resolved at the earliest opportunity
  • Assist with monitoring Accounts Receivable and follow up with invoices coming payable and those overdue for payment with relevant Accounts Payable departments
  • Liaise regularly with fee earners to ensure all debtors are recovered in a timely fashion
  • Ensure records, both soft and hard, are up to date and well-organised

To be considered for this role, you will:

  • Have achieved a 2:1 or above in a finance related degree
  • Enjoy relationship building and having challenging conversations
  • Feel comfortable dealing with people at all levels of seniority with ability to influence and lead
  • Display lots of enthusiasm and curiosity in the way you interact with others
  • First-class communication skills, presentation and problem-solving skills
  • Good Excel skills
  • A team player mentality, focusing on team achievement, not just individual goals
  • Business language fluency in English
  • Ability to cope with demanding and fast-paced environment
