Key responsibilities are;
• Preparation and submission of year end statutory accounts for 4 subsidiaries and consolidated group accounts under Charities SORP (FRS102).
• Review & implementation of previous audit recommendations
• Provide timely, accurate and reconciled accounting information for the group to support the production of management information, financial statements, budgets and forecasts.
• Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and clean-up of ledgers prior to accounts preparation.
• To provide support and advice on accounting issues to operational staff, other support functions and, where appropriate, to the people we support.
• Provide project support and costings and participate in project group meetings to ensure full understanding of the business and requirements.
• Drive process improvements and efficiencies through system changes/implementation.
• To assist in the development, maintenance and operation of a framework of financial policies, procedures and internal financial controls.
• Process all returns (Credit Cards and Housekeeping) from services. Assist with the reconciliation of complex sub ledger accounts as advised.
• To ensure that VAT, tax and statutory returns are submitted on time
• Line management, development and supervision of Project Management Accountant & Assistant Project Accountant.
