Job Description

As the Financial Accountant you will be responsible for; completing monthly accounts in line with changing timelines. Producing board papers, balance sheet reconciliations and managing year-end financials in line with group reporting requirements and audit schedules. You will be managing a small team of 2 direct reports and will be expected to assist in their development. The Financial Accountant position will require consistent review and improvement of processes and systems efficiency. The role will be varied and you will be assisting and advising on ad-hoc projects and providing support for other finance functions within the business where needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To be successful, you as the Financial Accountant will need to be a qualified or close to completing a CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification. You will ideally have experience in the FMCG/ Food Sector and have experience and understanding of the impact of Brexit on an international business. The ideal candidate would have experience working as part of a group reporting function. You must have exceptional Excel ability and be very proficient in picking up systems quickly, having used JDE is preferable but not essential.
