Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an ambitious and driven Payroll Assistant to join our team on a maternity cover basis for at least one year. We are keen to speak to personable and communicative individuals with experience in a similar role to join our finance team. Immediate start is desirable but we can wait for the right person!

  • Responsible for the payment of either hourly, weekly or monthly paid staff
  • Responsible for collating information - hours worked, time sheets, bonuses, commission etc
  • calculating correct amounts to pay, deductions, overtime, bonuses, allowances for employees etc
  • manually adjusting SMP, SSP, payrates and other miscellaneous adjustments
  • Run reports and produce p45
  • calculating holiday pay
  • Inputting data onto Payroll system
  • Arranging for payments to be made to employees
  • Making payments to HMRC for NI and Tax
  • Processing starter/leaver details and bank details
  • Be responsive to employees with Payroll Questions or issues
  • Ad hoc tasks to help the Finance team
  • Previous Payroll Assistant experience
  • Attention to detail

Working Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am - 6pm (7.5 hours per day between these times)
