Harvey John is working closely with an expanding small business on sourcing an experienced Bookkeeper to work closely alongside their MD and help ensure effective management of their finance function.

This established business is experiencing good growth and successfully expanding its customer base. This is their first in-house Bookkeeper role and offers the opportunity for this person to really make the position their own and set in place controls and procedures. You will partner the MD in driving the business forward and ensuring he’s in the best position to make key business decisions.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced accounts professional who is comfortable with payroll and VAT returns.

Responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping
• General office administration
• Generating and receiving invoices
• Verifying subcontractors
• Subcontractor payments
• Ordering
• Answering calls/emails
• Handle monthly payroll using accounting software

Ad hoc duties as required by the MD
