Job Description

As Assistant Account you will be key to providing vital support to the site leadership team, in particular the Finance Manager, enabling day to day performance within this strategic site.

Duties of Assistant Accountant include:

• Business partner to site cost Centre managers, supporting them in overheads management;
• Support Finance Manager in budget / quarterly forecasting processes;
• Standard product costing ownership including financial support for the development of new product;
• Ensure robust financial control through maintaining the site asset register, being responsible for timely capitalization, disposal, asset verification and periodic balance sheet reconciliation review;
• Support and liaising with project leads regarding capital reporting and forecasting;
• Reviewing statement of process standardization;

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Be fully or part CIMA qualified; Proven experience working in a factory/manufacturing environment; Have deal with profits of at least £8M+ Experience of financial analysis, modelling and investment appraisal techniques Ideally have costing experience; Experience of using an ERP – SAP or JD Edwards;
