Job Description

The successful applicant to have experience of VAT, payroll, accounts preparation and general management of the practice. The applicant will be working within a small team predominantly undertaking payroll duties including RTI submission for existing clients as well as preparing and submitting VAT returns.

They will be required to mentor and train junior members of staff when required. They should also have good communication skills and be able to liaise with clients to obtain the required information and resolve queries where necessary.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

They will also ideally have at least two years' practice experience, excellent communication skills, positive and reassuring manner with clients, excellent organizational skills, and an enthusiastic attitude towards work. You will have a solid background in payroll, VAT, and other general accountancy practice service responsibilities. Good problem solver with attention to detail. Ability to work using own initiative with little supervision, showing good organizational skills. At least two years prior experience in practice. Part qualified, ACCA/ACA/AAT are welcome to apply. Excellent communication skills - verbal and written. Technical approach to work and excellent problem-solving skills. Deadline driven and ability to work under pressure. Organization skills - ability to manage a number of different tasks simultaneously. Strong time management skills, with ability to plan and priorities work. Experience: practice admin: 2 years (Preferred). VAT: 2 years (Preferred). Payroll: 1 year (Required).
