Job Description

As a Bookkeeper, your main responsibilities will be to:

• Balancing the business accounts via double bookkeeping methodology
• Managing daily tasks processing sales invoices, receipts and payments
• Process in a timely manner VAT returns, PAYE and all associated timed activities for HMRC.
• Reconciliation of bank activities against business activities and transactions
• Produce management reports, identify and highlight anomalies or issues
• Prepare paperwork for Year End procedures and annual accounts and report on corporation tax exposure together with an independent Accounting Firm as appointed by the business
• Support the management of stock reporting and the business asset register
• Process the monthly payroll including bonus verification, expenses, PAYE activities and maintaining an annual leave entitlement of all employees
• Maintain PCI Compliance documentation and, as needed, FCA compliance reporting.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

AAT Accounting Level 2 and 3 or above or in advanced stages of completing suitable professional qualifications PC literate Quick and Accurate worker ZOHO Books experience desirable but not essential Strong MS office skills, excel, power point and word essential CRM databases Customer care/service orientated Excellent communication skills. Strong commercial awareness. Positive attitude. A confident and determined approach. A high degree of self-motivation and drive. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
