As Bookkeeper, you will support the Business Support team in providing a high level of bookkeeping to a varied portfolio of clients and maintain effective business relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
Responsibilities include:
Balance sheet reconciliations
VAT returns
Purchase and sales ledger responsibilities
Processing accounts to trial balance
Assisting with monthly management accounts
Regular interaction with clients, dealing with any queries they may have in a polite and efficient manner
Supporting other team members, providing assistance where necessary
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You will have a minimum of 2 years’ bookkeeping and VAT returns experience, ideally gained within an accountancy practice. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to interact effectively with both clients and internal staff. You will be comfortable using accounting software such as Quickbooks or Sage and ideally will have had exposure to cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero). Previous experience in management accounts is desirable, but not essential.
