Accounts Senior

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a regional practice in Birmingham for a Senior Accountant. With consistent growth over a number of years, this Practice have a need to bolster their team. We are looking for someone with the personality and drive to play a key role in the continued growth of this business.

As a Senior Accountant, you will work with a team of Accountants at various levels, including Semi Senior and Trainee positions. You'll be given the freedom to manage your own client portfolio while leading and supporting more junior members of the team if people management is something you are interested in. There will be opportunity for progression here as the Practice continues to forecast long-term growth.

As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include:

- Providing guidance to less experienced staff

- Manage a portfolio of small and medium sized businesses across a wide range of industries

- Preparation of client accounts

- Delivering monthly, quarterly and year end processes

In order to be the successful Senior Accountant, you will:

- Be a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) or finalist

- Have 3-5+ years of Practice experience

- Accurate and methodical in your nature, taking pride in the quality of your work

- Able to build strong positive relationships with your colleagues and with your clients.

The salary for this Accounts Senior role will be £30,000 - £40,000 and is negotiable.
