Observing behaviour- frequency, severity and duration and examining the possible context (environmental factors and events) in which the challenging behaviour is likely to occur and in which it is less likely to occur and to help ascertain the possible function(s) of the challenging behaviour
Identifying and assisting with behaviours that may be due to sensory perceptions and providing advice and guidance to staff teams
Implementing appropriate assessments and strategies, emergency management protocols and person centred planning/working
Making recommendations re: further requirements
Auditing of existing support plans
Assistance with defining therapeutic requirements within individual Service Level Agreement
Assist in behavioural aspects within service users review/CPA reports and attend reviews/CPA meetings as required
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures. May be required to attend meetings with service staff to support and advise on behavioural interventions
Development of behavioural policies/procedures and tools
Involvement and input into new service development- environmental consideration for service user group, consideration and advice on staffing structure and service requirements
Assist in carrying out pre-admission assessments
Working across departments to assist to enhance the company’s reputation and standards through development of tools, standards or accreditationLiaise with/ work closely with Counselling Psychologist who will provide clinical supervision and provide guidance/ oversee clinical work.
