Job Description

This is a pivotal role in which the post holder will need to professionally and personally manage relationships both internal and external to the Trust to ensure high quality services are delivered to patients in a way that delivers real value for money; at a time of unprecedented operational and fiscal challenges.

The role will report to the Assistant Director of Finance.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Support the Corporate Finance Team in the development of the Outline Business Case and Full Business Case for the ‘Reconfiguration of Hospital Services’ – a c.£200m project to develop services across two hospital sites. Provide senior finance support to the Reconfiguration Project Team, focusing on producing strategic financial and economic modelling to support the long-term direction of the Trust. This will include development of robust financial plans including quantification of costs and benefits deliverable from reconfiguration. The role will have close links with the Director of Transformation and Partnerships in fulfilling this role. Provide financial support to other significant capital developments within the Trust and in delivering this will work with regional and national colleagues from NHSI/E, DHSC and Treasury.
