Job Description

The Senior Accountant position is a key role within the team and reports into the Financial Controller, with responsibility for a small team.

Duties will include;

• Ensuring the regular production and analysis of accurate and timely divisional financial and analytical reporting
• Reporting, analysis and explanation of performance against Plan and Forecasts
• Reporting and analysis of margin performance, liaising with the Treasury team to ensure funding is drawn and recorded correctly
• Oversight of divisional costs
• Ensuring all accounts are reconciled and reviewed on a regular basis
• Assisting with the preparation of the budget and forecast
• Business partnering with senior non-finance staff
• Assisting the divisional executive with the preparation of business cases for projects and customer profitability analysis

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with strong communication and commercial skills. Practice background ideally but strong Industry candidates will be considered. Forward thinking with an analytical approach. Ability to communicate effectively and partner with senior management.
