Job Description

The Company Accountant will be responsible for the provision of monthly management accounts and monthly reporting across the companies portfolio. You will oversee the bookkeeping function, monitor costs, produce cash-flow reports, VAT and adhoc projects to improve processes. You will have oversight of the transactions team, reporting key MI to the Financial Controller and senior management.

As part of this role, our client are looking to bring a small payroll function in-house so knowledge of payroll is highly desirable. Additionally you will work with project managers and produce construction reports and will gain access to a variety of stakeholders in the business.

The salary for this role is between £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience with 28 days holiday, excellent employer pension and flexible working options available.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You will be an experienced accountant either qualified, part qualified or qualified by experience. Commercial experience is key here with a strong understanding of end-end finance functions. Our client are looking for a flexible and adaptable team player that can work as part of a small and specialised finance business. This role will also support projects on improving processes across systems and management information so experience of working in a change environment would be advantageous.
