Are you an experienced Senior Bookkeeper or Bookkeeping Manager, with strong Xero experience and from an accountancy practice background, looking to join a good quality practice firm based in Zone 2 North West London? Are you looking to work in a very friendly small / medium sized accountancy firm, work in an established Bookkeeping department and work on a wide range of interesting clients based in London and within the M25? Are you also keen to help move clients over to Xero, give advice to these clients and also assist with the continued growth and development of the department? Using Xero on a daily basis, your role will include carrying out compliance and advisory Bookkeeping, Management Accounts and VAT duties for your clients, assisting with the smooth running of the bookkeeping department as well as reviewing the work of junior staff members. Your role will be mainly hands on but will include a supervisory element. Your responsibilities will include general bookkeeping such as maintaining all financial records for clients, MTD registrations, sales ledger, purchase ledger, accruals, prepayments, recording payments, bank reconciliations, VAT returns and management accounts preparation. This will be a client facing role so you will communicate with and meet your clients on a regular basis.

To be considered for this new position (due to growth over the last few years) you must currently be acting as a Senior Bookkeeper or Bookkeeping Manager, currently working in a small or medium sized practice firm, and be Xero Certified or have strong Xero experience. You must be looking to continue your career in bookkeeping and have experience of bookkeeping, Vat returns and preparing management accounts. You must also have experience of staff management, including reviewing work. You must also have experience of MTD registrations and experience of complex VAT returns would be an advantage. It would also be a bonus if you had experience of Receipt Bank although this is not essential. It is likely you will have at least 5 years of relevant bookkeeping experience in order to carry out this position to a high standard. You must also have an interest in working with SME and medium sized corporate clients, be a team player, be able to work to tight deadlines, and have an outgoing personality.

This growing accountancy practice firm based just outside of Zone 1 in North West London and is medium in size, has grown at a tremendous rate over the last few years and has a very impressive client base that rivals a much larger firm. You will work in a growing Bookkeeping and business advisory department, and work with small and medium sized UK based clients based in London and the South East. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious experienced Bookkeeping Manager / Senior Bookkeeper to join a growing practice firm, work in a varied and challenging managerial role and utilise your Xero experience
