This is an excellent progression opportunity for a junior levelled design engineer, with industry experience or work placement within a plastics company, to join a company where they can continue to develop their industry knowledge and skillset.

Junior Design Engineer - Plastic Moulding Position Overview

• Production of detailed designs of plastic injection moulding tools through to manufacture working as part of a technical team.
• Creative thinking starting with a blank canvas or set out a design that requires re-modification.
• Produce 3D print - or liaise with 3D print specialists.
• Liaise with in house technical tool makers.
• Programme cut paths with In house team.
• See out production of samples.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

A BSc degree qualification in a product design, field of study is essential Proficient with Solidworks or similar CAD Design packages Proficient with Fusion 360 and cutting machines A year or two in the plastics moulding industry is desirable Based in a commutable distance of Wigan Full UK Driving License is preferred
