ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SUPERVISOR SOUGHT FOR MARKET LEADING HOSPITALITY/LEISURE AT THEIR BUSY HEAD OFFICE. EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN GROWING TEAM IN AN EXTREMELY SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS.

Our Client is a market leading hospitality/ leisure brand with over 200 sites. For nearly 30 years they have provided their customers with the highest levels of service. With a smart Head Office in West London, they are now looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join their team.

To inspire, motivate and develop the Accounts Payable team to ensure that the overall processing of invoices and payments are carried out accurately and in a timely manner, for the UK cinema operations and Head Office. To undertake all accounts receivable duties.

KEY ACCOUNTABILTIES- MUST HAVE RETAIL, LEISURE , OR HOSPITALITY EXPERIENCE

Managing the team
Oversee the accounts payable process
Manage accounts receivable
Support management accounts

THE PERSON

Technical Knowledge & Experience

Essential
 

  • Significant experience in a supervisory/ team leader position, managing a large AP team within a multi-site retail or leisure environment
  • Experience of financial book-keeping in a multi-site retail or leisure environment
  • Knowledge of AP systems and accounting practices (P&L)
  • Experience of managing or mentoring others to achieve personal and departmental objectives
  • Proven ability to build cross functional relationships across a variety of Head Office Departments

Desirable
 

  • AAT Qualified
  • A working knowledge of Agresso Finance Database

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, communicating effectively at all levels. Recognizes when to adapt their style to meet different audiences
  • Resilience: Demonstrates perseverance to overcome obstacles. Shows willingness to go the extra mile. Focuses only on finding solutions and supporting colleagues rather than focusing on what is “wrong” or can’t be done
  • Self-management: Able to recognize and understand the impact of own personal preferences and approach and actively manage this in order to tailor behavior to meet the demands of the role
  • Information analysis: Highly numerate and fact based
  • Relationship management: can build and manage relationships with Finance and non-Finance colleagues
  • Planning and organisational skills: Able to deal with multiple tight deadlines and changing priorities
  • Analytical: Demonstrates natural curiosity and a need to understand the implications of financial information, combined with an ability to do ‘common sense’ checks on outputs
  • I.T. literate: Advanced Excel, competent Powerpoint and Word
