Job Description

You will be responsible for the day to day operation of the Sales Ledger, from processing invoices to handling invoice queries in a prompt and professional manner. You will work closely with the rest of the finance team and be able to manage your workload in a demanding environment. Responsibilities will include:

  • Processing invoices
  • Posting payments
  • Allocating payments
  • Handling Sales Ledger invoice queries
  • Raising credit notes where necessary
  • Monitoring credit control
  • Chasing payments due

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous experience in Sales Ledger / Credit Control. Computer literate with good excel skills. Excellent communication skills. A good understanding of finance processes. Team player. AAT qualified preferred but not essential. A good sense of humor. The successful candidate for this Sales Ledger Clerk role will have previous experience in a similar role, possess excellent communication skills to enable efficient communication between departments and to deal with queries efficiently. You will be confident with a good telephone manner - enabling you to chase overdue payments in a prompt and professional manner. You will be organized with good time management skills and be able to cope in a busy and demanding environment. This Sales Ledger Clerk position is a fixed term contract, however may have potential to go permanent for the right candidate.
