Taking responsibility for the management accounts and the period end close process, ensuring all reconciliations and journals are prepared for review.
Operating balance sheet control and reconciling all key accounts.
Assisting in the budgeting and forecasting process.
Preparing the P&L statement along with commentary.
Preparing cashflow reporting and forecasting providing full and early visibility of funding shortfalls and requirements.
Producing the statutory accounts and VAT returns.
Liaising with the offshore team to ensure reporting requirements are met.
Contributing to key decision making in support of the CFO through accurate management reporting and collaboration with the wider business.
Implementing and monitoring internal controls and process improvements
Developing and managing financial systems/policies

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Fully qualified accountant with 1-2 years post qualified experience. Experience of management accounting within an SME or start-up environment (ideally from a consumer or health-tech brand). Strong academics with a relevant degree. Strong knowledge and understanding of month end close. Has a controls mindset with experience of making process improvements and adapting to compliance changes. Demonstrable history of meeting given deadlines and able to prioritise workload efficiently. Hands on and proactive approach to working under pressure with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail. Strong organisation and communication skills
