Job Description

We are looking for a motivated individual who will be reporting to the Financial Controller, with a scope to learn and progress within the organization.

This role will ideally suit someone on part time basis initially for 16-20 hrs / week, ideally over 3-4 days – this can be discussed to best suit both your and the business needs.

Main role responsibilities:

• Assisting with payroll and some HR matters,
• Accounts Receivable – setting up new client records, credit control, chasing debts, responding to invoice queries, reporting discrepancies and problems, allocating payments
• Accounts Payable - dealing with supplier invoices and payments,
• Dealing with some financial transactions in Xero,
• Assisting with reconciliation of some balance sheet items,
• Assisting with month end routine,
• Assisting with some travel/office bookings and purchases,
• Participating in ad hoc projects within finance department,
• Taking ownership of some office administrative tasks.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You will be AAT qualified as minimum, You will have experience working within accounts/payroll/finance role (min. 3 years), You will have excellent attention to detail and excellent communication skills, You will have strong IT skills, with working Excel knowledge, experience with Xero will be an advantage, You will be organized, confident and have a high degree of personal integrity, You will be self-motivated with a “can do” attitude and good time management skills, You will have the ability to work from home for part of the time. Experience: accounting/finance: 3 years (Preferred)
