Accounts Assistant

Job Description
All aspects of double-entry bookkeeping
Maintain & control the purchase and sale ledgers
Processing high volumes of supplier invoices
Approving, coding and accurate posting of daily receipts & payments to
the accounting system
Reconciliation of supplier statements and bank/credit card statements
Address internal and external supplier queries in a timely manner
Dealing with the prepayments and the accruals
Processing customer refunds
Approving affiliate sale commissions
Identifying and resolving data discrepancies
Assist with weekly supplier payment runs
Assist and support internal payroll process
Assist with month end closing
Assist with Internal Audits
Maintain vendor files and liaising with internal and external stakeholders
at all levels.
Correspond with vendors and respond to the inquiries
To ensure confidential storage of financial documentation. Ensuring
financial records are current.
To ensure tidy and orderly records are maintained.
Providing administrative and clerical support i.e., other ad-hoc tasks as
required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of general accounting procedures & accounts payable. Previous experience within a similar role (desirable). Experience of relevant accounting software (such as Sage-50, XERO). Willing to learn new systems. Data entry & general math's skills. Intermediate knowledge of Excel. Flexible approach to meet tight deadlines. AAT Qualified or studying (desirable). Confident and adaptable. Strong communicator. Self-motivated with organizing and prioritizing skills. Analytical & problem-solver. Teamwork & Professional integrity. Experience: Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)
