Job Description

I am currently on the lookout for a talented security analyst to join a public sector client of mine based in South Wales. You will be joining a newly founded SOC, with a fantastic and unique opportunity to help design and set up processes, essentially you will have a major influence on how the SOC operates.

Day to day you will:

? Provide information and guidance on security matters as an Analyst within the SOC team.

? Assist in the support of major incident handling within the SOC, and where applicable for clients

? Assist the Tier 2 SOC Analyst and SOC Team Leader in development of new service offerings, procedures, techniques, and policies.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

? Good working knowledge of multiple SOC tooling including SIEM / SOAR ? Good understanding of network technologies, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, ID/IPS, WAF & Proxy’s etc. ? Knowledge of Cyber Essentials and ISO27001:2013 standards ? Good communication and report writing skills.
