Responsibilities

• Production of monthly management accounting and full month-end process
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Conduct performance analysis
• Preparing a selection of monthly contract management accounts and associated commentary for distribution to operations and finance.
• VAT returns
• Posting recharges before month-end
• Provide proactive, focused and effective financial support to the finance and Operational teams.
• Build strong working relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues and work closely with them to provide pro-active, focused and effective support and advice to the business.
• Promoting the adoption of more efficient working within the Finance Department

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ideally, this role is targeting a competent part-qualified or qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA Accountant but also consideration will be given to experienced individuals, qualified by experience. Individuals must be able to demonstrate confidence in using excel including pivots, look-ups and multiple sum ifs. Expected to be working remotely for a time, this role will be keen to attract an IT literate individual and to a degree a self-starting individual. It is also an extremely attractive proposition to those who are in the final stages of study and who require remote mentoring from a very qualified and able team!
