This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice candidate looking for their next career challenge to join a small to medium sized firm of chartered accountants in West Yorkshire with offices in Bradford and Leeds.

This established and reputable firm are seeking ideally a qualified accountant to join their Bradford offices who will be looking for an accounts preparation role with opportunities in audit.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Preparing year end accounts for both limited companies, LLPs, partnerships and sole traders (mainly limited companies).
• Performance of statutory audits and agreed upon procedures engagements for audit clients.
• Preparing personal and corporation tax computations and returns.
• Assisting the Partners or senior managers with ad hoc project work for clients.
• Liaising with clients over their accounts and queries.

We have a team of accounts staff available to assist on assignments. Wherever possible we encourage the delegation of work to provide valuable practical training for junior colleagues.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The candidate should be fully or part qualified (ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent - will consider AAT and QBE) and have a general practice background with good technical skills in the areas of accounts preparation and taxation. Audit experience is desirable but not essential. The firm will also consider applications from strong qualified by experience (QBE) candidates. The candidate will be working with a diverse client base, mainly limited companies, across a range of sectors. The successful applicant will have a passion for working within a practice, working meticulously and accurately and enjoy the processes of accountancy work. Any level of Part-Qualification can be considered with potential study support offered. The candidate will report on each assignment directly to a partner or senior manager.
