Job Description

Streamline Search Recruitment are currently working on behalf of a well-established Logistics group which are seeking a hands-on HR Manager to join their dynamic and growing team.

Our client is looking for a business-minded, experienced, strategic HR Manager to run the HR department, managing all elements of the HR function and providing vital support to managers and teams, developing, and delivering the People Strategy.

As the Senior HR Manager, it is expected you will be experienced with trade union negotiations and be highly proficient in employee relations.

HR Manager - key responsibilities:

  • Policy development and continuous HR practice and process improvements
  • Recommend and work on a range of HR projects and initiatives that will add value to the company and contribute to achieving HR objectives
  • Management of key HR processes including recruitment, succession planning, performance analysis and improvement, and well-being initiatives
  • Support restaurant managers to recruit, retain, motivate, and develop their teams
  • Create and analyse MI reports, presenting results and recommendations to senior company managers
  • Provide expert advice on a range of ER issues
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior managers and employees
  • Oversee HR admin is completed to an excellent standard within reasonable timescales
  • Oversee that onboarding, training, and development processes in all areas of the business are fit for purpose to achieve the best possible results
  • Understand and assist with payroll processing and all associated tasks
  • Be an ambassador for HR and the brand

HR Manager – position requirements

  • Self-driven, highly motivated with a passion for HR
  • CIPD qualified minimum level 7
  • Must have experience of trade union negotiations
  • Highly experienced in employee relations
  • Qualified to degree or master’s level in Human Resource Management (desirable)
  • Able to demonstrate proficiency in handling casework, including complex cases
  • Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of employment law
  • Experienced in researching, writing, and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Able to work autonomously, on own initiative and with a pragmatic focus
  • Able to relate to employees at all levels of the organisation, including demonstrable ability to influence decisions at a senior level
  • Consultation; negotiation; decision making skills
  • Analytical with excellent attention to detail
  • Persuasive and diplomatic with a high level of emotional intelligence

HR Manager – position renumeration

  • Salary, £50,000 - £60,000 (Dependant on experience)
  • Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:30 (flexible)
  • 30 days holiday, including bank
