We are looking for a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to work within our HR Team to be responsible for managing the UK and Ireland payroll cycles.
Reporting into the Head of HR you will be the main point of contact for all Payroll, Pensions & Benefits questions and queries for the UK and Ireland markets.
You will also be responsible for managing all UK&IE benefit schemes which include PMI, and Travel Loan Scheme. The Payroll & Benefits Specialist will also coordinate all UK insurance renewals.
· Full ownership and management of multiple end to end payrolls
· Payroll accounting: Reconciliations, journals and GL
· Full responsibility for the P11D and P60 process
· Vendor management and 3rd party benefits management
· Put in place strict controls and frameworks to combat "RISK"
· Strong Tax knowledge and understanding
· Manage the annual bonus scheme and communications
· Provide a true customer services experience to all employees and take ownership
· Management and administration for all company benefits
· Full ownership of negotiations and renewals plus benchmarking against competitors
Pensions:
· Responsible for auto-enrolment
· Ownership of the company pension scheme with close liaison with the pension provider
· Produce pension reports
· Solid experience and background in a Payroll/Benefits role(s)
· Retail industry experience essential
· Must have both UK and Ireland knowledge
· Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, is essential
· Excellent working knowledge of HR Information Systems (e.g. Workday)
· Strong working knowledge of Payroll systems (e.g. ADP)
· Exceptional eye for detail, rigour and process
· Highly organised, efficient and able to multi-task
· Ability to build relationships quickly and credibly across all levels
· High regard for confidentiality
· Must work calmly under pressure
· Driven – enjoys a challenge, being busy and works well on their own initiative
· Good numeracy skills
· Solutions orientated with natural problem-solving skills
· Proactive and curious; always looking to improve the status quo
· Flexible and adaptable; willing to roll sleeves up and get stuck in!
