Job Description

Working with solutions architects to ensure that the appropriate database technologies are deployed to support the business need and be accountable for the full lifecycle of architecture development and governance for a product as part of a cross-functional delivery model.

In terms of background/experience, I'm looking for someone with 3/4 years of data architecture experience within a life sciences/healthcare or similar setting. You would require knowledge of genomic data structures including VCF's and associated metadata (such as tiering). With strong leadership skills and practical experience of data architecture across complex range data database technologies including relational, nonrelational data, unstructured object storage, cloud database technologies you'll be someone who enjoys solving problems and the challenges that come with them, being a strategic thinker who can communicate how activities meet strategic goals.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Redshift/Snowflake/MongoDB/AWS/RDS/Postgres Enterprise Architecture TOGAF methodologies and tooling Experience with data standards such as OMOP Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards FHIR Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (Beneficial) Knowledge of Ga4gh standards (Beneficial) This is a flavour of what you can do.
