Your new role

Your key duties will involve preparing monthly management accounts and supporting commentary against budget and forecasts. You will prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts based on relevant and up to date business information, prepare budgets, along with maintaining an awareness of business activities and their impacts on financial results. You will identify areas for profitability improvements, assist with the sites to implement the improvements and develop/prepare reports for site management as required. You will be involved in CAPEX project proposals, monitor projects spends, maintain and improve the standard costing systems, along with assisting with external and group advisors i.e. auditors, insurers and banking etc. You will be involved in ad-hoc projects to support company growth and deputise the Financial Controller as required.

This permanent Management Accountant role is offering a salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum dependable on experience based in Leominster, Herefordshire. An exciting opportunity where you can really develop and progress supporting the Group Financial Controller. You will be given the opportunity to learn, and the organisation will support a study package for the selected Finance Professional if applicable.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To be considered for this exciting permanent Management Accountant role you will need to have some experience within a similar role with high levels of drive and personal commitment to achieve success. You will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, desire to progress and develop, key communication skills to work with the wider business and be inquisitive to identify any issues. You will be AAT/CIMA/ACCA part-qualified/qualified or working towards completion, with strong MS Excel skills and a pro-active nature. It would be advantageous if you have experience within manufacturing sector with knowledge of ERP finance systems.
