Job Description

The Permanent Division of Robert Half are working in partnership with a growing FMCG business based in Northampton with the recruitment of a Senior Financial Accountant.

The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for the delivery of timely reports on the business performance, develop internal controls and integrate new business units, post-acquisition.

There is a clear succession plan in place and the natural next step for the incumbent is to become the Financial Controller.

Senior Financial Accountant / Northampton / £50,000 - £55,000 plus benefits

Key responsibilities will include:

• Daily and weekly financial accounting processes including full control of the balance sheet

• Prepare the Monthly Consolidation for the group management accounts

• Post-acquisition integration including P&L production and board presentation
• Understand and design new processes and maintain comprehensive and up to date process documentation
• Understand and implement strong financial controls
• Communicate and knowledge share key financial information with the Financial Controller, Finance Director and Senior Stakeholders
• Support the Financial Controller with various project work
• Management of internal audits and year end external audits

Profile

Due to the demands of the role the Senior Financial Accountant must be a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), capable of working in an ever-changing environment, keen to challenge themselves and have a desire to provide "best in class". The Senior Financial Accountant will ideally have:

• Excellent organisational skills

Salary & Benefits

The Senior Financial Accountant will receive a starting salary between £50,000 - £55,000 (DOE) per annum along with a strong benefits package.
