Job Description

As a Semi Senior Accountant, you will be exposed to a varied client based, this will include smaller developing businesses through to larger owner managed companies, providing statutory accounting, bookkeeping, management accounting and audit services.

The firm will encourage individuals who are training to gain as much exposure to these businesses as possible, this will include developing skills within statutory audits, initially as a support to manager, developing skills to ultimately manage your own audits. The role of Semi Senior will also offer an excellent opportunity to develop experience within statutory and management accounting, along with using new and innovative accounting solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

The role of Semi Senior will assist in the following:

• Preparation of statutory accounts
• Preparation of management accounts
• Use of the latest online accounting software
• Assist with client audits (full training will be provided)
• Client bookkeeping
• Preparation of VAT returns and tax computations

Remuneration

• Salary up to £20,000

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To be considered for this position the successful candidate will be an ambitious part qualified ACCA or AAT with at least 2 years of experience working within a firm of accountants, applications are also encouraged for individuals who have qualified by experience and have decided not to pursue the formal qualification route. Individuals will have developed experience of preparing statutory accounts and tax computation with little supervision and have a good understanding of Sage Line 50.
