Responsibilities:

The candidate should be familiar with recognising and onboarding new data sources into Splunk, analyzing the data for anomalies and trends, and building dashboards highlighting the key trends of the data. The Splunk engineer should have knowledge and implementation experience of the Splunk ITSI Module and Enterprise Security module as well as being familiar with editing, architecting and maintaining Splunk configuration files and apps.

The Splunk consultant will work with other Engineering team members and will be required to interact with end-users to gather requirements, perform troubleshooting, and provide assistance with the creation of Splunk search queries and dashboards. The Splunk engineer will be required to interact with senior management, as necessary.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 4 years minimum experience with Splunk • Spunk ITSI Module experience essential • Splunk Security Module experience essential • Must hold SC Clearance • Proven strength in conceptual and logical thinking, ability to abstract information and look at the bigger picture • Ability to articulate and present solutions at the right level for a wide audience. • Building relationships and networking, with high levels of motivation and collaboration • Experience of working within a large, complex and geographically dispersed Programme • Excellent interpersonal skills will be needed in order to build strong relationships that will be critical for the success of this role.
