As they continue to expand their and diversify their product offering they are keen to appoint a driven and dynamic Managing Director to drive the business from the front. Responsibilities include: - Design and delivery of the sales strategy to build and extend market share. Target market being the legal profession and associated intermediaries. - Maintaining a compliant, risk-focused environment whilst increasing commercial activities. - Taking control of the P & L, budgets, sales targets, costs and return on equity targets. - Recruitment, management and training of the team, driving for high performance. - Ensuring that the business operates within strict regulatory guidelines from a conduct and compliance perspective. - Managing the relationship with a high-profile and demanding private equity backer. The likely target candidates will have the following: - Extensive experience of leading in an FCA regulated business. - Commercial leadership experience and able to take on a hands-on approach to sales strategy and commercial activities. - A professional and positive approach and able to succeed in a small, growing private equity-backed business. - Some experience in a lending business including consumer finance, motor finance, retail finance or possibly commercial asset finance, SME finance or the fintech space. - The ability to work in a smaller, entrepreneurial lending business as opposed to a large banking environment. This may suit someone in senior sales / commercial leadership whose next move would be into an MD role.
