Job Description

This role would suit either a finalist stage studier or newly qualified accountant. Demonstrable experience of working within an SME environment would be essential.

• Prepare monthly management accounts, related reports and commentary for group companies.
• Prepare or assist in the preparation of forecasts.
• Prepare other ad hoc reports as required.
• Monitor and report on cashflow.
• Work with the finance team to agree inter-company reconciliations.
• Liaise with the team on any issues/discrepancies with the monthly management accounts or reconciliations and work with the team to resolve any queries.
• Assist in audit queries and information for preparation of statutory accounts.
• Prepare tax returns, such as VAT reports.
• Maintain controls and processes.
• Coach other members of the team on accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll matters. Support them to resolve problems and queries.

Salary up to £40k depending on skills and experience plus benefits.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

As the successful candidate you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences: Actively in the process of obtaining ACCA or CIMA qualification or recently newly qualified. Able to demonstrate relevant experience in a Management Accountant role. Advanced Excel skills. Experience using Microsoft Navision an advantage.
