Job Description

We have an opportunity for a newly qualified or part-qualified Auditor to join our Audit team (based at either our York or Leeds office). Candidates must have Practice and Audit experience and be ACA or ACCA qualified or close to completing either of these qualifications.

Auditor main duties include:

  • Audit duties including;
    • planning, delivering and completing of audit for businesses and groups across all industries up to c£70m turnover under the guidance of the audit senior and/or manager/partner
    • Scrutinize client records and document findings in a clear and concise manner for conclusion
    • Liaison with client staff as well as audit team and wider firm
    • Retain responsibility for own work and that of audit juniors
    • Onsite training and development of junior staff throughout the audit
  • Manage multiple tasks with different managers whilst having an awareness of deadlines
  • Preparation of statutory accounts from client records
  • Completion of corporation tax computations including ixbrl tagging submissions

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum AAT qualified, ideally ACA or ACCA qualified or close to completing either qualification. A level grades of 2 B’s and 1 C, or equivalent. Good numeracy skills. Familiarity of Microsoft Office packages in particular Excel. Team player. Organized. Flexibility as travel to client offices is required, together with overtime and occasional overnight stays. Excellent interpersonal skills. Commitment.
