Job Description
  • Travel on LNER train services observing and completing quality audits and checks for the mobile In-transit cleaning operatives to ensure that they are carrying out duties in line with the training, client specification and output standards
  • Identification and delivery of and sharing (via electronic means) coaching and development needs of the in-transit operatives and support in the roll out of new initiatives
  • Give feedback and coach In-transit staff on the route as necessary
  • Reporting and sharing of movements, interactions and findings with the management team
  • Ensure company policies, procedures and regulations are complied with.
  • Continually look to improve In-transit standards, processes and methods of work to maximize effectiveness and efficiency
  • Work with the management team to update standards accordingly.
  • Work safely and in line with all training to the requirements and standards as required for working onboard trains and when at stations across the LNER route
  • Work collaboratively with the Training Manager to create training interventions and enhance the core training materials as necessary

Health & Safety

  • Ensuring adherence to Health & Safety Policy and Procedures at all times.
  • Reporting all incidents/accidents promptly and taking corrective action where required.
  • Helping create a positive safety culture across the team.
  • Ensure the Health and Safety manual is kept up to date.
  • Any other task, as directed by the Client, Duty Manager or Regional Operations Manager or Senior Manager within the Company.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous experience as an Auditor, Coach or Team Leader or Supervisor is desirable but not essential. You will have a keen eye for detail and be committed to making improvements. Excellent customer service and people skills. You will take pride in the work you do and want to do a good job. A willingness to learn new things and a flexible approach to work tasks. You will be able to work to deadlines and priorities as well as being flexible with working hours and days. Excellent attention to detail required. Due to the nature of the role you need to be hardworking, reliable, punctual and trustworthy. Comfortable and with experience of engaging with, challenging professionally and providing constructive feedback to the operative workforce.
