Quality Assurance Manager

Job Description
Ensure that the data needed to support the monitoring and measurement of products and processes is available and used by the appropriate members of the organization.
Customer Quality lead point of contact.
Lead the Noncompliance / Failure Review Board (FRB) process:
Collate and analyze NC data.
Attend associated customer facing meetings.
Facilitate corrective action.
Monitoring, reporting and facilitating closure of non-conformances.
Verification of the action(s) taken and assess their effectiveness.
Facilitate the determination, and implementation, of key characteristics to monitor trends & product compliance.
Perform project, product and process audits, including those against quality plans and contractual requirements, both on site and within the TDS supply chain including supplier’s facilities.
Promote the use of quality tools and techniques to improve the yield and reliability of products and the repeatability of processes both at TDS and in its supply chain.
Support of, and participation in, external audits (customer, certification, etc.)
Administration and development of the databases (currently TIPQA) used to support operational processes.
Participate in, monitor and be a signatory for design reviews, (Quality & compliance approval within all gates for the NPI process and reviews throughout a product’s lifecycle.)
Quality Planning and deployment, including identifying, designing and assessing quality controls for the manufacturing phase.
Authorized Quality signatory on TDS forms and within TDS processes.
First Article Inspection in accordance with AS9102
Assist within inspection requirements in other departments where required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Technical Mechanical and/or electronics background and qualification. Lead / Internal auditor (AS9100 or ISO9001) training. Problem solving techniques. Experience in using and administrating TIPQA or similar quality management database. Proven success in collating data, prioritizing actions, determining root cause and implementing corrective action. Experience of managing external audits (Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental). Fact based decision making, Root Cause Analysis, facilitation skills, mechanical & electronics background (design / assembly / test). Communication (written and spoken), use of MS-Office. Planning, execution and reporting of internal audits and other relevant activities. Knowledge of the processes, standards and requirements associated with the Space / satellite industries. Auditing (Lead or internal auditor).. Proven success in collating data, prioritizing actions, determining root cause and implementing corrective action. Quality tools – 8D, Root Cause Analysis, LEAN, process approach, 5S, etc. Experience of APQP, PFMEA & SPC is advantageous.
