You must be used to being hands on and familiar with operating fully computerized Accounting systems preferably one that is integrated with Manufacturing. As this role reports to an overseas manager you must be used to working with minimum supervision so ideally a self-starter.
Duties:
Have experience accounting in a manufacturing environment
Capable of producing a set of monthly management accounts from the base data.
Inputting journals and dealing with accruals / prepayments
Reconciling year end stocktakes
Pulling together the Year end statutory accounts with assistance from auditors
Paying suppliers via BAC’s runs
Credit card management
Familiar with VAT requirements
Knowledge of import / export procedures would be an advantage but not essential
Running a monthly payroll preferable
Bank Reconciliations
Supplying Government Statistics
Inputting base data if other Finance Team member is absent
Outside of the pure finance role there is a number of admin requirements to help the business
Good IT skill requirements including use of excel to a reasonable level
