Job Description

 I am recruiting for a small, growing Accountancy Practice. My client is looking for a qualified or qualified by experience Accountant to join them on a permanent basis.

**Property tax is an advantage but not essential for this role

Reporting to the Partner your responsibilities will include:

  • Statutory Accounts and corporate taxes
  • Ensure and assist the Office manager with monthly jobs planning and target achievement and meeting filing deadlines and planning ahead.
  • To ensure that all MLR formalities are met for new clients.
  • Review all corporate accounts and taxes and assist in completion of any complex tasks.
  • Assist in finalizing company accounts and taxes by using your skill and judgement.
  • Personal Taxes
  • To review all personal taxes prepared before sending to the client.
  • Ensure all client material data is correctly supported by documentary evidence.
  • Monthly Accounts
  • Review and ensure accuracy of all management accounts and vat submissions and assist in
  • completion of any complex tasks.
  • Comment on management accounts and performance including graphs and KPIs.
  • Provide solutions and recommendations as necessary for the clients based on performance.
  • Assisting in cash flow forecasting and budget preparation for clients

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Microsoft word Excel Excellent task tracking communication Sage and Quickbooks knowledge Experience of Payroll and VAT Companies House filing and Company secretarial matters
